As a non-profit organisation, the work of the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation centres on collecting, exhibiting and promoting photographic art work. With the Art Collection Deutsche Börse it has compiled an internationally renowned collection of contemporary photography, comprising more than 2,400 works by around 170 artists from more than 40 nations.

Deutsche Börse Group, The Cube Eschborn
Over several decades, the American photographer Jamel Shabazz documented Black communities in New York City. He portrays the vibrant streets as places of community and as points of origin for cultural expressions such as hip hop and breakdance. His photographs are both historical testimonies and means of self‑empowerment.
